Committee decisions recorded as a stage of the workflow

In EnaTTO, committees are defined with their members and roles; meetings, attendance, agenda, conflict-of-interest declarations, votes and reasoned decisions are recorded together. A committee stage in a workflow moves on along the transition that matches the recorded outcome.

Members and roles

Chair, member and rapporteur roles in every committee; the quorum for decisions is a committee setting.

Meetings and attendance

Meeting date, attendees and the records on the agenda are kept together in the meeting record.

Total or per-person votes

Votes are recorded as totals (for, against, abstain) by default; your organisation can switch on per-person votes.

Conflict of interest

Members declare conflicts of interest for agenda records; the declaration stays with the decision.

Reasoned decisions

Each decision is recorded with its outcome, the votes, the reasoning and a decision document.

Advances the workflow

A record at a committee stage moves on along the transition that matches the decision.

Committees and their members

Committees and their members are managed by people allowed to configure workflows. Every member is chair, member or rapporteur; the committee settings define the quorum for decisions and how votes are recorded. Only administrators and the committee’s members see a committee.

Meetings, agenda and access

Meetings, attendance, agenda and decisions are recorded by the committee’s chair and rapporteur or by someone allowed to configure workflows. Only records the person adding them can see go on the agenda.

Members can open agenda records for the meeting and 30 days after it. Members who join a committee later do not automatically get access to strictly confidential agenda records.

  • Only visible records go on the agenda
  • Member access: meeting + 30 days
  • No automatic access to strictly confidential records

Decisions and workflows

A decision is recorded with its outcome, the votes, the reasoning and a decision document. When a workflow such as the invention disclosure workflow has a committee stage, the recorded outcome moves it on along the matching transition. The institutional decision is recorded separately; EnaTTO makes no legal determination on ownership or rights.
