Regulatory profiles

How your country selects EnaTTO's regulatory profile - suggested patent offices and fee rules, funding catalogue, reporting framework and legal references.

EnaTTO is used in several countries. A regulatory profile adapts the suggestions to your country without building any country's rules into your records. Profiles exist for Türkiye, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Switzerland; other countries get a general international profile.

Required role

Where to see it

Go to System management → Regional settings → Time and country. Under the country, Regulatory profile shows four parts.

What a profile contains

PartWhat it does
Suggested patent officesThe offices offered when you add a patent application: your national office plus the EPO, WIPO and USPTO, with the rules for suggested deadlines
Funding catalogueInternational ready-made programmes plus your country's, added to Funding programs
Institutional reporting frameworkThe national TTO reporting framework whose indicators are tagged on the Reports page
Legal referencesLinks to the relevant law on employee inventions and rights

Patent protection is taken as 20 years. No annual fees are suggested for designs and utility models. Ready-made funding programmes carry no amounts or dates.

References, not determinations

A profile only suggests and links. EnaTTO does not determine rights, ownership, inventor remuneration or revenue shares, and the reporting framework is a label: official template columns are mapped only once a sample template is shared.

Changing the country

Changing the country affects only new items. Missing ready-made programmes of the new country are added; existing programmes and patent applications stay unchanged and are never deleted.
