Licence agreements holds the licence, assignment and option agreements for your technologies, the revenue received under each one and how that revenue is shared. EnaTTO records the terms as entered; it does not calculate amounts due.

Required role

  • Manage the technology portfolio and licensing (TTO staff, Owner).

Add an agreement

Go to Licence agreements → Add agreement, or Record agreement on a candidate. Enter:

  • the Technology and the Licensee company (from the directory, both required) and, optionally, the Licensee candidate,
  • the Type (Licence, Assignment, Option, Other) and Exclusivity (Exclusive, Sole (licensor retains rights), Non-exclusive),
  • the terms: Upfront fee, Royalty rate (%), Royalty base, Minimum annual payment, Currency, Territory, Field of use and Other terms,
  • the status and dates: Signing date, Start, End,
  • an internal note.

Statuses are Draft, In negotiation, Signed, In force, Completed, Terminated and Cancelled. A signed agreement needs its signing date. Attach the signed text and correspondence under Attachments by document code.

Revenue

Once the agreement is signed, Revenue → Add revenue: Received on, type (Upfront fee, Royalty, Milestone, Minimum payment, Sublicence share, Other), amount in the agreement currency, an optional period (for example "2026 Q1") and a note. The card shows the Total received. Once revenue is recorded, the agreement currency cannot be changed.

Revenue sharing

Revenue sharing is set per agreement. Under Revenue sharing → Enter sharing add each recipient: a Person, Unit, Institution or Other (free name), with its Share (%).

  • The total cannot exceed 100%. If it is lower, the remainder shows as Unallocated.
  • EnaTTO only multiplies each percentage by the total received. It does not deduct costs.

Rates are yours to enter

EnaTTO has no suggested or default sharing rates and does not determine anyone's entitlement. Enter the percentages set by the agreement and your institution's decision. The regulatory profile links to the relevant legal references for information only.

Indicators

Commercialisation indicators such as technologies in portfolio and in the catalogue, catalogue inquiries, licensee candidates, agreements signed, licences in force, commercialisation revenue, royalty revenue and revenue allocated appear in Reports under Commercialisation, per currency.
