A startup record follows a venture through its programme: who is in the team, what the business plan says, which mentors support it and how it progresses.

Required role

  • Manage startup programmes and applications (TTO staff, Owner). Founders and mentors are directory people and do not get accounts.

Create a startup record

  • For an admitted application: Create startup record on the application page. Each application can have one startup.
  • For an existing campus startup: Startups → Add.

A startup has a name, summary, Stage, Programme, Joined the programme date, sector, website and an internal note. Its status is Active, Paused or Closed.

Overview

The Overview tab holds the Team (founders and team members from the directory) and Linked records: link an IP asset or a Project by its code. You can only link records you can see; records you cannot open show their code only.

Business plan

  • Lean canvas with nine fields: Problem, Customer segments, Unique value proposition, Solution, Channels, Revenue streams, Cost structure, Key metrics, Unfair advantage.
  • Investor readiness: eight items (pitch deck, financial model, cap table, incorporation, IP position, first customers, core team, traction metrics). The share of completed items appears as Readiness in the list.

Mentoring

Under Mentoring → Assign mentor choose a directory person (internal or external expert) with a focus and start and end dates. End mentoring closes the assignment.

The TTO records the sessions under Mentoring sessions → Add session: date, duration in minutes, Topics discussed, Follow-ups and Next session. A session is always recorded with one of the startup's mentors.

Progress

  • Milestones → Add milestone: title, due date and status (Planned, Done, Missed, Cancelled). The list shows the next milestone and what is overdue.
  • Check-ins → Add check-in: a dated snapshot of team size, customers, monthly revenue, funding raised (one currency) and a note. Check-ins feed the entrepreneurship indicators.
