Signing in and users
How to sign in to the EnaTTO admin panel, accept an invitation, and how owners and administrators invite, re-role and remove users.

Everyone who works in EnaTTO signs in to the admin panel with an organization account. Accounts are created by invitation; there is no self-registration. Company contacts, startup founders and event participants do not need an account: they use the public pages.
- Open your organization's EnaTTO address and click Sign in (the page is titled Administrator sign-in).
- Sign in with your organization account. If your institution has single sign-on, sign in with your institution email and you are taken to your institution's login.
- After signing in you land on Overview.
Only members of your organization can open the panel. If you see "Only users in the authorized organization can access this admin panel", ask an owner or administrator to invite you.
Accept an invitation
The invitation email contains a personal link. Open it, click Join, and set a password or sign in with an existing account. The link was sent only to you; do not share it. If the page says Invitation expired or Invitation revoked, ask your administrator for a new invitation.
Required role
- Managing users needs the Users permission: Owner and Administrator.
- Only an owner can assign or remove the Owner role, remove an owner or cancel an owner invitation.
Invite a user
Go to Users → Add user.
Enter the email address and, optionally, the full name. Choose the Role: Owner, Administrator, TTO staff, Member or Institutional viewer.
Click Send. The person appears under Pending invitations until they accept.
From a pending invitation's menu you can Resend invite or Cancel invite. Expired invitations cannot be resent; send a new one.
Change roles or remove a user
Open the user and choose Edit roles, or Remove from organization. Removing a user takes away access to this organization; the sign-in account itself is kept. You cannot change your own role or remove yourself.
A role change applies after the person signs out and signs in again. The panel asks you to do this when your own role changes.
The cards at the top of Users count members, pending invitations, active members and members who Needs review (no role, never signed in, or inactive for a long time). Review these regularly.
Accounts and directory people are different
A user account lets someone sign in. A directory person is a record of an academic, inventor or contact, with or without an account. When a user signs in for the first time, EnaTTO links the account to the one directory person with the same email that has no account yet; the link is written to the audit log.
